Write for All

Poetry

Going through some old papers, I came across this poem that I wrote when I was 24,
sitting on the cliffs by the ocean on the Island of Crete.
My, oh my, it brought back lovely memories.

OCEAN SONG

         Softly the ocean whispers
                            its endearments.

        The gentle breeze touches me,
Caressing my face, my hair, my body.

Tenderly the rain kisses my face,
                    Making love to me gently.

        Then stronger,
                        Still more powerful,
                                More demanding.

                                 A flash of lightning.
                                        The crash of thunder.

        And the ocean whispers again...
            I love you.
